FAQs

What size crown moulding should I pick for my home?

This depends on your taste. The most common moulding size we install is 5 ¼ . However, some customers with higher ceilings or larger homes may want to choose 6 ¼ or 7 ¼ we bring samples and pictures to all in home estimates, so ask the master carpenter you meet with! To learn more about the different types of crown moulding we have check it out here.

How do you fit your inside corners of your crown moulding?

We cope all inside corners instead of mitering them. This makes the corners fit snugly and ensures the corners do not come apart.

How long should it take to have woodwork done in our home?

We install most jobs in a day! Our company can install crown moulding in an entire home and have the moulding caulked and painted! We are incredibly efficient and understand no one likes living in a half-finished construction zone.

Do you move furniture before you install any woodwork?

We prefer you move your furniture just to make the process quicker and more efficient. However, we understand some people cannot and we are happy to move your furniture for you. We just ask that you understand we are not liable for any damages to furniture we move for you. More information on what to expect on installation day here.

What do I need to do to prepare for installation?

We ask that you move all furniture that could be in the way of our carpenters and painters, we also ask you take down wall hangings and put away breakables. You can find out more about what to expect on installation day here.

Can I stay home on installation day?

ABSOLUTELY! You are more than welcome to stay while we work and ask any questions you may have. There have been some customers who have chosen to not be home while we work and show up at the end for the final walk through, this is ok as well. We do ask that you do not go further than 30 minutes away just in case we have any concerns or questions for you.

What if it rains on installation day?

We can do work rain or shine! We have tents we set up in the driveway to keep the wood and our equipment dry. If your garage is cleared, we prefer to set up in there to keep everything super dry and ensure there is no damage to the wood. Don’t worry about the mess we clean up after ourselves 

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes! We accept all major credit cards; however, there is a 4% charge to use a credit card. To avoid the additional charge, we also accept cash and checks.

We require you to provide touch-up paint for your walls. You are responsible for having a minimum of quart of paint in the color that matches exactly what is on your wall. We are not responsible if you do not provide the correct paint that matches your wall paint. We provide all other paint/materials for the woodwork we install.

Does the trim come painted?
